Products compliant with the most stringent standards
All Fortal products comply with applicable French and international standards. To guarantee their compliance, they undergo rigorous testing carried out by independent laboratories appointed by AFNOR.
- Ladders, stepladders, and fixed step stools comply with standard EN 131 and decree 96-333.
- Rolling stepladders comply with standard EN 131-7.
- Individual platforms PIR / PIRL comply with standard NF P93-352.
- Mobile scaffolding complies with standard EN 1004.
- Façade scaffolding complies with European standards NF EN 12810 and NF EN 12811.
- Custom-made constructions, whether for machine access or building access, comply with ISO 14122 and NFE 85 015 standards.

Recognised expertise in welding and assembly
Fortal holds ISO 3834-2 certification, an internationally recognised standard validating full mastery of welding processes. This qualification applies to both robotic production lines and internal welding teams, overseen by a certified IWT (International Welding Technologist). This additional level of requirement guarantees :
- robust and long-lasting assemblies,
- consistent and uniform quality,
- cost-effective products thanks to their extended service life.
Our guarantee: Made in France quality
All Fortal products are designed and manufactured in Alsace, in Barr, at our production site. This local oversight allows us to control the entire process, ensure complete traceability, and uphold genuine French manufacturing expertise.
- Standard Fortal products come with a 2-year warranty, excluding wear parts.
- Custom-made Fortal constructions also come with a 2-year warranty, along with the supply of original-equivalent spare parts for 10 years.
